I’m sure everyone has heard about these makeup artists in some way, but would you have ever been interested in them if you hadn’t seen the memes people made of them? YES. These men have been all over social media by breaking the Internet with their abilities and having hilarious reputations of screwing up makeup looks. Don’t worry though, we have all the reasons for you to watch their videos and continue laughing at their amazing memes!!

1. JEFFREE STAR ⭐

He has been known as the Myspace King, a musician of all genres and a fantastic makeup artist. He is not afraid to go outside the box or change himself because people don’t like him and that’s what we love about him. You’ll appreciate his very honest opinions on products and he isn’t shy to make fun of them if they are G-A-R-B-A-G-E. Jeffree is also not afraid to blind people with the amount of highlight he uses, but here’s a secret: you can get the same amount of glow as him with his own line of Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

He is known for his easy and affordable tutorials for people who struggle with makeup, reviews with all the brands we love like Kylie Cosmetics and much more! Whenever you want to check out new products to see if they’re worth the money, Manny is your guy. You may also know him for his collabs with best friends Jeffree Star, Jaclyn Hill, Nikita Dragun…more like ex best friends. We all know he is mixed up in so much drama with these artists, but to Manny, any press is good press!

3. JAMES CHARLES

Sister James has filled people’s timelines with makeup tutorials, reviews and challenges. He gained everyone’s attention by being the first ever CoverBoy to publicize CoverGirl’s makeup in 2016 and he is also one of the very few makeup artists to become famous at such a young age. We can relate to his humor and always have a laugh when he fails at videos and causes his own failure to go viral. This young makeup artist is known for his comedic ways and the amount of swearing he uses during each video…can’t we all relate?! What makes people attracted to his channel is the way he doesn’t care about anything and how he does what he wants, whenever he wants. You can’t help but laugh at everything he says and the amount of energy he puts into his videos gets you hooked the minute you open his channel so beware. There will most likely be a Bretman Rock video marathon coming your way in the future.

These male artists continue to make viral videos and try and make us laugh, but some are more popular than others it seems. Each one of them deserves the popularity they have for different reasons, but at least they’re famous right? So you can either join in on the hilarious moments and fun or continue to live a dull and un-highlighted life. Instagram is known to be a social media platform to post pictures of your greatest achievements or your most memorable moments. However, these Instagram accounts do not realize the effect they have on the younger generation.  Millennials assume that appearances play a big part on who they are. From showing off your networth to your “body goals”, millennials thrive for the fame and money that Instagram comes with. Comparing yourself to Instagram models not only brings issues with self-confidence but with mental health as well. It is also known that Instagram has been ranked as having the most detrimental effect on the younger generations’ mental health. The main effects that this social media platform has on the youth are anxiety, depression, intimidating and bullying, and loneliness. This platform is also mainly known to have negative perceptions of the body image and increase the fear of missing out on certain activties and opportunities in life. However, the positive aspects are the acceptance of self-expression and building a community. Here are the top five Instagram accounts that not only rot your brain, but will make you more self-conscious of yourself and your body image: Alexis Ren, Dwayne Johnson, Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Because of her large following on Instagram, companies ask her to promote their products such as hunger oppressing pills, dieting plans and cleansing juices. She has mainly gained her following base by posting pictures showing off her thin figure. Society belives that her body type is reachable by a healthy meal plan and going to the gym regularly, however people often look past the fact that she achieved her body goal through surgery and cosmetic procedures.

2. Dwayne Johnson

Known for his acting career, Dwayne Johnson has gained a large Instagram following throughout his career. With over 120 million followers on Instagram, he has the capability to influence millions by just one Instagram post. He mainly posts pictures of himself flexing at the gym or of his crazy meal plans. His fans idiolize him because he follows a strict lifestyle and persue his acting career, yet he is still capable of achieving societies definition of body goals.

3. Kylie Jenner

First to become the youngest female billionaire of our generation, Kylie Jenner is one the most popular and influential figures. She not only has over 115 million followers on Instagram, but has created a successful makeup line. Kylie Jenner has built her Instagram account by posting pictures of her unreachable lifestyle. From thousand dollar cars to mansions in Hollywood Hills, she has it all. She is also known to have done cosmetic procedures on herself such as her plastic surgeries on lips and other parts of her body, but she has denied most of these. Millions want to be like her because she represents the contemporary beauty standard, which unrealistic and unreachable. 

4. Ariana Grande

Singer and songwriter Ariana Grande has a huge social media following. In fact, she has over 130 million followers. Ariana Grande is known to have lost a large amount of weight during her career. This shows that the singing industry expects a certain beauty standard that is unhealthy and unreachable. 

5. Cristiano Ronaldo

Professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been an inspiration for different reasons throughout his career. Millions want to look like him or be like him. With over 145 million followers on Instagram, Ronaldo has influenced many generations.  His daily routine mainly consists of being on the field or training in the gym. Similar to the previous website, Eel Slap is a wonderful page that gives you the opportunity to release your stress, anger, sadness and all of these ugly emotions. How? If this is not amazing, I really don’t know what is.

Lastly, have you ever felt so rich that you wanted to just waste your money? Yes? Well, even if most of us can’t relate, there is a website that is just perfect for this. Just like its name says, the website Pay For Nothing Club gives you the opportunity to pay in order to be part of the club and, the best part is that in return you don’t get anything…But you do get your name written down in the club member list! You do have to act quickly though because the price gets higher every day.

The Evil Kermit meme shows Kermit the frog talking to Constantine, a Sith version of himself, encouraging him to do things that he probably should not. Since November 2016, the meme has gained recognition as a way to express conflicting thoughts or actions. This is relevant within the in the case of The Lady of Shalott because of the fact that she is aware of the consequences of looking out the mirror and leaving the tower, but is still compelled by her inner desire at the sight of Sir Lancelot.

 

 

Boromir, portrayed by Sean bean in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, expresses the difficulty in reaching Mount Doom in Mordor. Since 2004, it has been used to express a random struggle or difficulty, often replacing “-walk into Mordor” with original captions. It also express a double meaning, like there is something more to the story. The comparison of Mordor to Gin lane implies that Enfield is involved in a thing that he won’t display publicly which is that he might be frequenting female prostitutes or male prostitutes…or both.

When the woman points out to her husband that she ran out of flour, it is an arguably an allusion to her husband’s theory about sharing a whole bag of flour to truly get to know someone. This meme represents how the husband might’ve reacted to her saying that he ran out of flour, as she is likely referencing that she has grown to like or, even love him. Dawson Leery seems as though he’s crying because something nice happened, which is a reaction expected from the husband.

The Almighty Loafer “The Living Bread” is a meme based off of a Christian children show called The Donut Man. He has been remixed as a satanic character possessed by the Devil.

In our meme, we thought that this would be funny because the woman in the story bakes a loaf of bread for her husband meant to symbolize the rising of their relationship and her developing feelings for him. It’s a pun because as she’s baking loaves of bread she falls in love with him.

Mr. Barack Obama is an icon and is crying with no clear explanation. However, we have used it as a reaction meme because are they tears of joy? Tears of sadness? In the story, the couple runs out of flour, which is sad, but really, they want to keep on buying more flour so that their relationship can continue to flourish. It really is a bittersweet moment. They have fallen in love despite the terrible circumstances.

Just for “fun”.

These memes are inspired by the short story “bread”, they represent the part of the story where the husband states that, “two people should not say the word love before they’ve eaten a sack of flour together.”
